Dear Mother,
When I was coming to school yesterday, my photo was taken coming across the bridge by two ladies. When I was in school a whole they came up to the school and looked at the scholars and counted them. Then they went down again to the lodge. In about another half an hour they came up again and they had money with them. They gave a penny(continues on next page)
