    There are two forges in the parish. The names of the blacksmiths are Thomas cassidy and Jim Melot. There fathers were blacksmiths before them. Thomas Cassidy's forge is situated in Seefin and Jim Melots forge is situated in Crossboyne. The forge has a thatched roof. There is a horse shoe nailed on to the door.
