  1. There are three forges in the parish, Cassidys, Melletts, and Cunninghams. Their fathers were smiths before them. Cassidys forge is situated in Seefin, Melletts is situated near Crossboyne, Cassidys is situated at Seefin. The forges are roofed with zinc. There are two forges fireplaces in each of these forges. There is a leather bellows used for blowing up the fire. The
