  1. When king Conor Mac Nessa was king of Ulster. there was a girl born and her name was Deidre and she was very nice looking. When he heard it he said he would marry her. He put her into a very high building and no one was allowed to see her with the exception of three people. One snowy day she was looking out through a window and she saw blood. A raven came beside the blood and she said that she would like to marry one that would have hair as black as the raven and skin as white as the snow and cheeks as red as the blood. And one of the three people said that there was a man not far from that place
