  1. There is one forge in this parish now but there were three long ago. The name of the smith is Paddy Stanton Cordarragh. The forge is beside the cross roads and there is a river running beside the door of the forge. The forge has a thatched roof. There is only one fire place. The bellows is about thirty inches broad and it is worked by a long handle. The smith used a hammer pinchers, sledge and rasp.
