  1. When St Patrick was coming to Aughagower, he came through a place called Cluain da chon. There was a pagan living in the place and he had two hounds and he set them on St Patrick. The minute the hounds came to him he left his hand on their heads and they laid down.

  2. When St Patrick was building his chapel he had no meat for his men. His enemy had a bull, and he said St Patrick could kill him for food. When he had the bull eaten the pagan came for him. St Patrick had the skin left up
