- Once upon a time there were two girls standing beside a lake and one of them fell in and got drowned. After a while a man was driving cattle along by the late and he saw a girl coming towards him. He said to himself that she was like the girl that got drowned and she passed by. Another time he was passing and he saw the same girl coming again and she passed by. When the man went home he told a priest. The priest told him to go to the place again and to bring holywater and a scapular with him and to ask the girl did she want anything. The man went to the place and he saw the girl coming. He put holywater on himself and he asked her did she want anything and she said that she owed money to a certain person and to go home and look behind the rafter over the dresser in her grandmothers house to get the money and to give it to the person to whom she owed it.
