  1. There was once a man and he was sick in a house in Ballygorman which is a village about half a mile from the village of Aughagower in Co. Mayo. One night he fell off in a slumber and everyone thought he was almost dead. A man called Pat Malley came to see how the dying man was. After a while Pat Malley went out of the house to go home. Suddenly the dying man awoke up and began laughing and he said, "Pateen is catching it going over Sraighdeog." The people of the house did not mind what the man was saying until the next day they found out that Pat Malley was almost killed that night on his way home. Every step he went he was knocked down.
