    There was once a fairy peacock which was roaming about Kileeneen. It generally came in the twilight of the evening, but also every evening it came it killed a horse and a cow. The dog in each house used smell it coming, and they used to go ahide and shiver, and by this the people knew that it was coming. The people of the village grew nervous and told the priest, and he decided to banish it but could not do this alone. He asked two other priests to come with him, and the three went out together at twilight and they met the
