    There was once a man living on the borders of Clare and Galway, his was digging potatoes one day when he stopped work in the evening he forgot to build the gap in the boudary wall until he was going to bed. He put on his books again for fear his cattle would go into the pits of potatoes. He had only a row of stones built on the gap when he heard the horses and hounds coming and they passed through the gap he was building so he had
