    1. If a marriage and funeral met the marrige will prove unhappy.
    2. The bride should reach the church before her intended husband.
    3. If the bride makes her own wedding dress she should enclose a hairpin in a fold of the dress as a sign of luck.
    4. Every time a bride look into a mirror before her marriage she should add something to her jewellry.
    5. It is said which ever of the newly married couple come out the church door first
