  1. About seventy years ago a woman named Biddy Early lived in Co Clare. She was doing miraclous curing. She cured people who were given up for death by doctors. The priests said that Biddy was a witch and they said it was from the devil she got her gift of curing. He cursed her on the alter several times and every one were forbidden to tell any stranger where she lived.
    My fathers uncle went to Biddy once for a cure for a sore hand for his mother because the doctor could not cure it. He inquired of several people in the neighbourhood where her house was but nobody would tell him. He came at last to where a man was breaking
