  1. Saint Surney is our local saint. She lived in Drumacoo, about a mile from here. There is a graveyard at present round her house. Her bed is inside the graveyard gate.
    A well known as St Surney's Well is situated in a field beside the graveyard. If a person is subject to a constant headache he goes to this well for a cure. He goes to the well
