  1. The people used to eat potatoes three times daily long ago. With the potatoes they used to have Indian meal porridge. At other times they used to have porridge and noggins of milk.
    In pace of the intoxicating liquirs of nowadays the people had punch. This was made from poteen (which was made from barley) with hot water and sugar.
    Bread. They people used to make cakes of oat - meat, wheat, and barley
