  2. My mother told me that her mother told her that there was a fort in Griffin's land in Castleisland and they called it Griffin's Fort. My mother said when her cousin used to be going home every night and they used to call him the corner Mahony. The fairies used to come out and start dancing around him. One night he was going the fields and the fairies came out and started dancing around him.
