    The way they used to cure a child with a cough or a sore throat was to pick shamrock root and boil them. Then they would take them up and strain them. In this way they used to cure a child with a cough or a sore throat.

    The way they used to cure burns and cuts long ago was dip the wound into a pound of dirt and tie a cloth round it. Then they would let it that way until the cloth fell off
