    Another way to cure hiccoughs is to give a person a fright and the hiccoughs will go away.
    A child that would be born and carried away before it was able to see it's father would be said to have certain powers for sickness.
    When calves have tetters they rub manure to them and that will them away.
    When a horse has a sore head steal a black cat and skin the cat and put the cat's skin on top of the sore part of the horses head. The cat must be stolen - it will be no good to ask a cat.
