    on the priest to Donnchadh an Rópa. Poddle when he wanted to go to Westport was afraid of the people to go the way they went. So Donnchadh an Rópa made this road for him. It started in our village, went through Dúrpios, Coillín and Lecanvey and from Lecanvey to Westport.
    One time there was a few families of catholcis in Ballycroy. Poddle told Donnchad an Rópa, and a few out of each house was brought up to Roscommon and hanged.
