- One night a man went into bed. When he went into the bed, he felt something hitting against the bed underneath. He jumped out and looked in under it but he could see nothing. No sooner was he in bed than it began to bump again at the bed very wildly. He held the bed tightly and it lifted all the clothes out on the boards. He settled all the cloths again, and jumped in again. He held the iron of the bed very tightly and it lifted up irons and all were thrown out on the boards. Then he decided to get a mass read in the house that there was a ghost under the bed.(continues on next page)
