  1. About eighteen years ago there lived a man who was very poor. One night he went visiting to his friend's house. The journey was very long and he brought the horse with him. When he was going he told his wife and children to go to bed that it would be late when he would come. When the man was gone about an hour or two the woman and children went to bed. When the man had paid his visit and when he left the friends house it was quarter past two. When he was coming home he had to pass a chapel and when he was coming near the chapel gate he saw a
