Get three thorns that would be on a hawthorn bush and point them three times to the sore eyes on Saturday and Thursday and the followiing Saturday again. Cure for pain in ear
Get a woollen cloth and boil nettles and put the juice of the nettles on the cloth and put it into the ear and the pain will go. Cure for sore throat
Cut up an onion and put it into a cup and put in three tablespoonfuls of sugar and put it on top of the onion and cover both of them well until the juice of the onion and sugar melt then take it. Cure for pain in head
