  1. About a hundred years ago there lived a man in an old castle in Mount Brown. His name was Denis Brown. He was a wicked old man. He used to hang priests as well as lay men. The old house was haunted and lights were seen at late hours of the night there. There was a man seen dressed in white where Denis used to hang people. The people used to be afraid coming after dark through Mount Brown.
I heard this story from Annie Brown, Fahy, Clougher, Westport, Co Mayo.
