  1. There was once a man out visiting out late one moonlight night. When he came in from visiting he went out looking for his mare. He saw a mare very like his own mare near a lake. He went up and caught her by the mane and he jumped upon her back. The mare walked down to the lake and sprang into the water and drowned the man.
