  1. Once upon a time there lived a man from the mountain who was going to England. He left his own house the day before, and lodged in a friends house that evening, and the following morning he got up early as there was no clocks in the country at that time. He got his breakfast, and he started off for the station. On his way to the station he heard great noise. As he was on the road passing along he heard great noise as if it was a fair. He heard people buying and selling cattle. He moved in across the mountain to avoid them and he went on his way to the station
