  1. Hastings of Criggandearagh had a field and there was a fort in the field. They tried many times to ready out the fort out of the field and make it level with the rest of the land. But every time they went to dig it they were stopped. There was a big strong man in Autawall named John Derrig and they sent up for him to dig it. He came down next day to them to dig it. They offered him a shilling a day but to dig it. John thought it was a great thing to get a shilling a day and
