  1. Long ago there were very few that wore shoes. The most of them went in their feet. Some of then never knew what a shoe was. They went in their feet summer and winter. Some of them wore clogs which they made themselves. There were very few shoemakers around this place. In some places there were a lot of shoemakers. The rish ones wore boots and the middling rich ones wore clogs and the rest of them wore neither boots nor clogs. They used to go to school in winter time in their feet. Some of the old men and
