  1. Long ago here was a man living in Garrew called Michael Hanick. One night he went out visiting to a neighbour's house called Gavans who lived about a half a mile away. He remained there until one o´clock. On his way home he had to cross a small field where they said there were fairies.
    Everything was all right until he reached that field. He thought he saw people going up and down before him: No matter how he would run or walk he couldn't get out of the field. At last he decided to take off his coat and turn
