  1. Once upon a time there was a beautiful spring well near a small river in Cushen in Aughagower parish. In summer time the water was just as clear and as cold as it would be in winter. One time there were people widening ad deepening the river and they undermined the spring well.
    From that time on there used to be a very lonely cry heard at that well at night.
