  1. About fifteen years ago there was a great rainstorm with thunder and lightning.
    It was in the middle of January and it was a fine evening up to about six o' clock Then to the surprise of everyone the sky became dark and the winds began to blow wildly and roughly. The next thing that was heard was a great rap of thunder. It lasted all that night and many people were killed throughout the country Hay was brought away by the storm and many ricks were burned by the lightning.
