  1. The was a heap of soil in a field one time which everybody was afraid to stir. After a while a few lads said they would see what was under the heap. They were just to root it up when a thing with hoofs and horns like the devil ran out and went into a pile of bushes. The lads became afraid and ran home. It is said it went into another field after that. No one ever went near the heap since. Lights are there on dark nights. This head is situated in James Lally's field.
