  1. A few days after Christmas day each year, a crowd of juvenile boys from my place gather together into a certain house. There they dress themselves in white shirts, and they each put on a false face. They then get a piccolo, and they go around from house to house. In every house they dance and play and when they have finished dancing, one of them rattles a box, which he carries, for holding whatever money they get.
