  1. Saint Stephens day falls in the 26th of December. On that day the young boys go out and get the little bird called the wren and they go about to each house singing with the wren and they get money. Saint Bridgets day falls on the 1st February. On that day the young children make a straw rope called a sugan and jump over it and some old people say prayers in honour of Saint Bridget. Saint Patricks day falls on the 17th March.
