We have no blacksmith or forge in this place but there is a forge in Leenane and another in Killeen and its to those places the people of this place go when they require a blacksmith to do any work for them. It is not thatch that is on the forge which belongs to this place. The door of the forge is a very wide door being much larger than the door of a house. The blacksmith has all sorts of tools such as the hammer the anvil the water trough the bellows and iron of every description. He keeps water in the trough at all times
