    There is only one forge in this district and that one is in Leenane. The smith's name is Higgins, his father and grand-father were blacksmiths also. He shoes horses and donkeys and makes anchors for boats. He sometimes works outside the forge and sometimes works inside. An anvil a sledge a small hamer two pinchers a bellows, a knife and a rasp are the tools the blacksmith uses. The body of the bellows is
