    They played a game at wakes in olden times called "Horthabrog". A great number of people would go in a ring on the floor and one person would go into the middle and they would make a big strong rope out of straw and twist it and the people in the ring would be striking the one in the middle and the person he caught the rope at would have to go into the middle next time. In the winter time they play cards. A great number of men gather together and they sit around a table and put out their money and
