    We sew about one acre of potatoes. We first set the potatoes in lealand. We get a pair of horses and a plough and turn two lines of sods about 4ft apart. These turned sods are called philibeens and the space between makes the ridge. The ridge then consists of two scraws and the green heart in the centre. Yard manure and artificial manure are next spread on the ridge. The potato slits are left on the ridges about one ft apart. These slits are covered with
