  1. St Bridget's day is on the 1st February. The young girls go out with the brídeóg. They go around from house to house carrying a doll which they call the brídeóg and say Honour the brídeóg.
    In every house they get a penny or two and if the people have no change to give pennies they give eggs. The next day the girls go to town and sell the eggs. Then the money is equally divided amongst them and they buy a lot of nice things for herself.
