  1. We make a bone-fire on the 24th June. Every one goes to the bog with an ass and creels for a load of turf. They make a big heap of it at the cross-road. They get a bone for it and they go into the nearest house for a coal to set fire to the turf. All the people of the village gather to the fire. The old people say the rosary around
