  1. Long ago people only ate three meals a day. They got up out of bed at six o'clock in the morning. They went out in the field minding cattle until breakfast which consisted of potatoes and milk and sometimes an egg.
    After breakfast the men went out again to work in the field. They went home to their dinner at abut two o'clock. They got potatoes again or oat-meal stirabout when potatoes were scarce. The women used to knit men's socks on their way to the bog for a creel of turf. The women
