    Sir William Hopescott was the landlord over this territory years ago & his assistant was John Blake. He also had a bailif named John O'Malley. Mr Hopescott very seldom visited the land but his assistant Blake collected the rent and carried on his affairs here. Blake was a very cruel man and he was the cause of puting many a poor man out on the road. When the people paid the rent Blake kept
