    Some of the names of fields in this district. They are - Log Dán, Poll Dubh, Cúlán, Log Na gCoillte, Cnoch Samhna, Leapna, Páire Mhór, Páirceann, This is why our village is called Ballyburke because there was alot of Burkes living in it. There is a bell back in Cushin and they call it Clog na h-altóra. There is a hill above our house and they call it Crigan. There is a big hole over in Bern's land and the people say that Saint Patrick walked
