  1. There is a blessed well at Aughavale nere Westport and there was a blessed throut in it. There was a pagan living back at old head and he heard talk of the throut and he send his men to get the throut and he made them roast the throat. When he was roasting he leaped of the griddle and went miles and miles to get back to the well again and he is there from that day to this and the people can see
