    The houses that were in it long ago were very small. houses. The roof was thatched with straw. There was a cailleac in every house. The head of the house used to sleep in the cailleac. It was covered with flags. There was very large chimmeys in the houses and there was two hobs on each side of the chimmey which were used as seats. There were very small windows in the houses long ago. There was no glass going in that time. They used sheep skin for
