    Long ago there lived a giant in the village of Mace. His name was Pat Mc Hugh but the people called him Páidin. He was about nine feet in hight. For one meal he could eat about seven stone of potatoes & six pounds of meat. He lived in a small house on the side of a hill. The giant was always stealing fowl & turf from the people round the place. So the all decided to kill him or drive him out of the country. They
