  1. My mother showed me how to make a cradle for catching birds. She told me to get a knife and go to the wood and cut five or six pieces of sticks, and tie them together with a string. Then to get a couple of strait sticks and cut them at a right length and to join them in with the other sticks and tie them tightly together. Then you have to get a strong piece of a stick to put under the cradle to hold it up when you are setting it.
