  1. The marriage customs some years ago were different to the customs of to-day. Some years ago when people were getting married the customs were to invite all the friends and neighbours. They would all go to the brides house early in the day and as the marriage ceremony would not be performed until evening about four or five o clock, some time later then they would all enjoy themselves by dancing and singing until time to go to the church.
