“Long ago in the famine years the poor people used to be provided with porridge every day.”
296
Long ago in the famine years the poor people used to be provided with porridge every day. This porridge used to be boiled in a big pot in every village. The poor people had to go every day to the village to get a quart of porridge .They used to eat porridge twice every day while the famine held. The house when the porridge used to be boiled is now a ruin. The pot in which the porridge used to be boiled is to be seen yet and it is now a water trough for cattle.- Collector
