Long ago when tge railway line was being made between Ennis and Limerick

    263
Long ago when the railway line was being made between Ennis and Limerick, the workmen used to sleep in huts near the line and had to work early in the morning .One of the men did not go to work as usual. So a headman called at the hut to know the reason why he was not at work. The man said that he dreamt he was killed at work and that he would rest until an hour after breakfast. The headman laughed at him and said "Come on to work". So the man went and got killed emptying the first waggon of stuff.
