    Long ago there was a man and he had about ten cows.

    about twelve buckets of milk. Then he said the cows were very good for milking, and he would have much milk anymore. Then another man was listening and he went over to the cows and milked one of them. Then the owner of the cows went out to milk them but they had only a cup of milk each. Then the man said it would not happen to me at all if I may keep my mind to myself.

    Long ago there was a man and he was not obeying the Penal Laws

    Then the English put him into jail and he was in jail for six months. Then they took him out of jail and he carried on the same way as he was doing before. Then the English summoned him and cast him into prison. After a while they took him out of prison and hung him out of a tree near Ballycardy Cross Newmarket-on-Fergus. The same tree is
