  1. Long ago the farmers used to bring their pigs to Limerick in a common car and creel. On a particular occasion a certain man was bringing his pigs in this fashion. The night was bright and starry. He left his home about four o'clock in the morning. His way led him past a certain place which was considered a "bad spot." After having completed five miles of the journey he came at last to this place. He was entirely unaware of his surroundings. Neither did he believe in ghosts, or in yarns about them.
